Healthcare Roundtable: Communicating Value in an Era of Intense Skepticism

In this month’s Healthcare Roundtable, we’re discussing a challenge many healthcare organizations are navigating right now: how to communicate value and build trust in an environment where audiences are increasingly skeptical of institutions, systems, and messaging.

Healthcare organizations are being asked to communicate more clearly around cost, access, outcomes, innovation, and patient care while also responding to growing public scrutiny and misinformation. At the same time, patients and communities want communication that feels transparent, human, and credible—not overly polished or corporate. This discussion will focus on how healthcare communicators are approaching trust-building, demonstrating value, and communicating in ways that resonate with patients, stakeholders, employees, and the public.

This session is not a webinar. It’s an open, peer-led conversation created for healthcare communications, PR, digital, marketing, and public affairs professionals who want a trusted space to share experiences, compare approaches, and learn how peers are navigating similar challenges.

We’ll Discuss

  • How healthcare organizations are communicating value beyond statistics and technical language
  • How teams address skepticism around healthcare systems, policies, pricing, or innovation
  • What role transparency and empathy play in healthcare communications today
  • How organizations balance reputation management with honest, human communication
  • What challenges arise when misinformation or distrust shapes public perception
  • How monitoring and insights help teams understand audience concerns, questions, and sentiment

This roundtable is part of Meltwater’s Industry Circles program—client-only spaces inside mCommunity where professionals in similar sectors connect, collaborate, and learn how others are using Meltwater to solve real-world challenges in their day-to-day roles.
