Conversations: Assigning Incoming Social Posts

With Assignments in Conversations, you can ensure that the right teammate is notified of and responds to incoming Conversations. Assign incoming requests to the appropriate teammate to ensure your audience is getting the support they need.

Prerequisites

 

Before assigning your social post, make sure your intended reviewer is listed as a user within your Meltwater Engage setup. You can see your list of users by following these steps:

  1. Click the Account drop-down in the left-hand navigation bar

  2. Click Manage Users

 


 

Assigning a Post

 

Now that you’ve ensured your intended reviewer is a user on the account and has the correct permissions

  1. Select the Engage drop-down from the left-hand side navigation bar

  2. Click Conversations

  3. Hover over the post you want to assign to a teammate in the content stream on the left-hand side or open the post to populate in the right-hand side

  4. Click the kebab menu

  5. Select Assign

  6. Select your reviewer from the drop-down list and add a note to be emailed with the assignment

  7. Select Apply to submit the assignment and email the social post to the reviewer

    Note: Once a conversation has been assigned, it will be indicated above the message in the content stream and below the comment or reply in the message details pane.

  8. To re-assign a conversation to a different teammate

    1. Select the kebab menu

    2. Click Change Assignment

    3. Select a new teammate.

 


 

Actioning a Post You've Been Assigned

 

As a reviewer who has been assigned to a post, you'll receive email notifications when you have been assigned a social media post and any notes added by your team member.

To review and action your assignment:

  1. Select View Assignment at the bottom of your email.

  2. The conversation assigned to you will load within Conversations in Engage.

  3. Click the kebab menu or the Assigned To… line to open the Assignment modal, where you can view notes and re-assign if necessary.

You can also change the assignment for the post's approval by following these steps:

  1. Click the kebab menu

  2. Once you've selected another assignee to review the content, they will receive an email and can follow the above steps to submit their approval.

 


 

Viewing All Assigned and Unassigned Posts

 

It is easy to see all content assigned, assigned to you, or unassigned.

  1. Click the Engage drop-down in the left-hand navigation bar

  2. Select Conversations

  3. Select the Content drop-down from the filter bar and select one of the three options.

  4. Select a filter

    1. All

    2. Assigned

    3. Assigned to Me

    4. Unassigned

Note: While conversations can be assigned, this does not restrict who can respond to the comment or reply.
