The Unified Dashboards in Analyze bring all of Meltwater’s media intelligence into a single, flexible, and easy-to-use reporting experience. With this new system, you can:

  • Combine paid, earned, and owned media reporting in one place
  • Layer in AI-powered insights to understand what’s driving coverage and engagement
  • Customize dashboards with filters, templates, and widgets
  • Share dashboards easily with teammates, executives, or clients

This is more than just a feature update: Unified Dashboards are the new foundation for Meltwater reporting. Over time, this will replace our current reporting apps (Classic Analyze, Measure, and Insight Pages) with one customizable hub that brings together paid, earned, and owned media reporting.

Note: Classic Analyze, Measure, and Insight Pages are still available for now, and your existing dashboards in Analyze and Measure remain intact.

Unified Dashboards in Analyze is currently in Beta

Prerequisites

Before creating a Unified Dashboard, make sure you have the following in place:

  • You will need Admin Access to create a dashboard
  • You have created a Saved Search in Explore
  • You have connected your Social Accounts

Ensuring You Have Admin Access

Without Admin access in Analyze, you will not be able to create any dashboards. Your access levels can be viewed in the Manage Users section.

Note: If you are not the admin on your Meltwater account, work with the user who is to adjust your permissions.

Follow these instructions to assign and adjust access levels for users:

  1. Click the Account drop-down in the left-hand navigation bar
  2. Select Manage Users
  3. Hover over the user you want to edit permissions for
  4. Click Edit User
  5. Navigate to the Permissions section
  6. Click the Analyze drop-down
  7. Adjust the permissions as needed
    • No Access
    • Viewer
    • Admin

Creating a Saved Search

Depending on the type of dashboard you want to make in the new Analyze experience, it may require a saved search in Explore.

Connecting Your Social Accounts

If you want to create a dashboard to report on your Paid or Owned social accounts, you must first connect them in your Account Settings. Learn more about Connecting Your Paid Accounts and Connecting Your Owned Accounts.

Types of Unified Dashboards

Now, let’s look at the types of dashboards you can create.

In Unified Dashboards, you can start with:

  • Custom Dashboard (a blank canvas you design from scratch) or
  • Choose a Roll-Based Template.

Templates are prebuilt dashboards designed around common use cases, built on best practices, and packed with the most popular widgets. They’ll get you about 80% of the way to a presentation-ready report in just a few clicks. From there, you can customize the layout, filters, and widgets to make it fully your own.

Custom

Custom - Start from scratch with a blank canvas. Add widgets, text, and filters to build dashboards tailored to your exact reporting needs. Can be downloaded as a PDF.

PR and Comms

  • Brand - Understand and report on brand awareness using metrics such as number of mentions, reach, sentiment, coverage by market & key themes.
  • Benchmark - Compare brands, topics, or competitors to understand their share of voice across mentions, reach, sentiment, source type, and markets.
  • Campaign - Analyze and report on mentions from your campaign across various media types, engagement levels, and reach. Highlight the ket coverage achieved.
  • Earned Media Measurement - Measure and understand drivers of earned media metrics using an interactive dashboard template designed for PR teams.
  • Crisis Management - Monitor and detect emerging risks by tracking negative sentiment, spikes in mentions, and influential sources. Stay ahead of potential issues and identify what needs a response to protect your brand reputation.

Note: Additional templates, such as a Coverage Template, will be added later this year.

Social Media

  • Audience - Gain insights into your audience by exploring demographics, trending topics, hashtags, keyphrases, and more.
  • Owned Templates - Includes top metrics across multiple or individual inputs (Facebook, X, Instagram, etc.).
  • Paid Templates - Analyze paid performance across Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok.

@Anna C Not at this time, I will check with product team to see if they are planning anything in the future.

@Anna C The product team has confirmed that scheduling dashboards is in the roadmap for Q4, we should expect this in December/January. I am going to convert your question to an idea, so you will be notified when it launches.
