Hi all! I'm Joe and I work in the Product Support team, covering the Media Relations Product area. We handle issues around contacts, email deliveries and much more. I am always happy to help guide a client or IT team member with getting their approved senders and sending domains verified.

For this week's Tip we're going to walk through Copying, Removing & Moving contacts within media lists. 

Copying contacts between Media Lists

First we'll start in our media list "Media List #100". We want to copy three contacts to another media list titled "Media List #200". We'll be doing this with contacts we created ourselves, so they'll be private contacts. A note that these contacts could have been uploaded with our CSV template as well.

Go to "My Contacts -> Actions -> View all contacts"

Here we're going to copy Louie, Jim and Elaine to the "Media List #100" list. First I'll check the boxes next to their names, then in the toolbar I'll click the person icon with the + sign over it.

I'll check the "Media List #100" checkbox and then click the OK button.

Now we can see those 3 have been copied into the destination "Media List #100" list. 

You can also create a new Media List and copy your contacts directly in. Just select the checkbox next to the contacts names and in the toolbar click that same "Add Contacts" button.

In the pop-up window click the "+ Create List" link. Here I'll name the new list "Media List - Cab Drivers". 

NOTE! If you uncheck the "Media List #100" checkbox these two contacts would be removed from that list. 

Those two contacts have now been added to the "Media List - Cab Drivers", and because we didn't uncheck the "Media List #100" checkbox, these two contacts were kept in there as well.

Removing Contacts from Media Lists

If you'd like to remove contacts from a Media List here's how. 

Here I've checked "Jim Ignatowski" then clicked on the "Add Contacts" button in the toolbar (person with plus sign). 

I've unchecked the "Media List #100" checkbox and then click OK. This will remove Jim from that list. 

Moving Contacts between Media Lists

Here we'll move Elaine from "Media List #100" to "Media List #200". First I'll check the box next to Elaine, then in the toolbar click the "Add Contacts" button in the toolbar (person with plus sign). 

This will bring up the dialog box. Uncheck the "Media List #100" box (this is the action that removes the selected contact(s), then check the "Media List #200" checkbox, then click OK. 

Now Elaine has been moved from the "Media List #100" list to the "Media List #200" list.
