What Is Author Segments?

Author Segments is a social listening feature that helps you explore and understand your online audience on a deeper level. It analyzes the authors behind social conversations about your brand or topics you care about, and groups them into segments based on characteristics such as:

  • Interests and passions

  • Demographics

  • Online behaviors and engagement patterns

This gives you a clear picture of who is driving conversations relevant to your brand or industry.

Why It Matters

Knowing your audience is the foundation of any successful marketing or communications strategy. Author Segments enables you to:

  • Identify your most engaged or influential audience groups

  • Discover new communities and potential customers

  • Tailor messaging and content to resonate with specific segments

  • Improve campaign targeting and overall ROI

In short, it helps turn social listening insights into actionable audience strategies.
