Hi everyone, I’m Jason Mollica and I’m happy to say that I’m mCommunity’s first #ExpertWithInsights specific to the Sports & Entertainment Circle. I’ll be hosting tomorrow’s Virtual Roundtable, Touchdown: How the NFL continues to lead the way in Sports & Entertainment, and I look forward to engaging with you all, whether it be on that call or here in mCommunity.
More about me
As a public relations professional, I've worked for a boutique agency in Buffalo, New York and in Niagara University’s Office of Communications and Public Relations, before starting my own consultancy—JRM Comm.
As an Emmy-nominated television producer, as well as a radio anchor and producer, I have a great understanding of working under pressure and balancing multiple projects. An integral part of the team that launched Fox News Radio in 2003, I've also worked for NBC, Comcast SportsNet in Philadelphia, Pa., and Fox News Channel in New York City, before making the pivot to public relations.
Aside from speaking at numerous conferences to small and large businesses, and PRSA and PRSSA chapters around the country, I enjoy sitting down with people to discuss what challenges they are facing and how we can help make a greater, more memorable impact on a daily basis. Some of the greatest moments of my career have been the opportunities to mentor and lead public relations and marketing pros.
I have been a featured contributor for numerous blogs, including the Ad Age 150-ranked "PR Breakfast Club," Ragan Communications' "PR Daily," and Muck Rack. I've provided professional communication insights to the likes of FoxNews.com, the British Broadcasting Company (BBC), EasyGrouper, WIVB-TV, WKBW-TV, and Spectrum News. I've also been a guest on the GaggleAmp podcast and PRfect Pitch radio show.
Most recently I served as a professorial lecturer in the School of Communication at American University in Washington, D.C., teaching strategic communication, crisis communication, ethics and social and digital media analytics in both the online and on campus settings. I also spearheaded SOC's Online Master of Arts in Strategic Communication as program director.
