What ads are my competitors or inspirational brands running on Facebook or Instagram?

Hello, again Meltwater Community. I’d like to do something a little unorthodox and write up a post taking you outside of the Meltwater application. 

Our customers often leverage Meltwater to monitor what competitors are doing online and benchmark your KPIs against your closest competitors. Similarly, some clients also like to keep an eye on big, inspirational brands for content ideas.

Now, let’s talk about Meta’s Ad Library. Let’s say you are curious about what sorts of ads Warby Parker has running on Facebook and Instagram right now. 

Select the United States (or applicable country), All Adds, and type in Warby Parker. Then hit Enter

Here we can see all Ads that mention Warby Parker. Pretty-pretty-pretty cool. 

I also suggest playing around with the filters. For example, you may want to filter for just Active ads, rather than both active and inactive. You can also hone in on things like Platform, Media Type, and Date. Here is a quick link to see all the Active Instagram Ads for Warby Parker. 

On a personal note, I’ve been known to use this tool to find coupon codes for brands and products I’m looking to purchase. 😏
