How do you tag brands in Engage in the desktop environment (IG specifically)? I can’t see a way to click on the photo or add tags anywhere (not talking about Meltwater’s internal tagging system, but actually tagging other brands/individuals/entities’ handles so that they see a post). I’ve searched everywhere and only found one article -  that showed how to do it in the app, not the desktop. Appreciate any guidance!

Hey @LAW_MW - thanks for reaching out! It’s possible to tag other accounts, but you can’t do it in the General compose area and you’ll need to edit them in individually in each channel’s preview screen. The screenshot below is from our Help Center User Guide for the new Engage Publish flow and shows what this looks like:

Does this make sense? Please let me know if you need any additional help or have other questions!

Awesome, thanks so much for the quick response, Jacinda!

My pleasure! I’m going to select that answer as “Best” to resolve this thread, but please don’t hesitate to reach back out if you have further questions. 🙌

Does this also apply to tagging a brand in a picture? Not just tagging them in a sentence with “@”, but actually tagging them in a photo like one can do natively on the platforms? Sorry if this thread answers this question already, but appreciate the clarification!

Hey @Maria Dehne - it’s not yet possible to tag the actual image, only in the text. This is something that’s on our team’s radar but not yet roadmapped. We do have an internal ticket to track this, but there hasn’t yet been an idea for this submitted to the community. In order for our team to track interest and to make sure you’re notified as the status of this changes, I’d recommend submitting an idea for visibility. I know it might be annoying to take this extra step, but it really is the best way for us to scope the features our customers want 🙏

I’d recommend submitting an idea for visibility.

Done, thanks @Jacinda Espinosa !

Awesome, thank you so much @Maria Dehne!
