Hey y’all! 

My name is Maggi and I am new to Meltwater. I was curious for any longterm or beginners like me their favorite part of using Meltwater!

The dashboards and newsletters have the most value, but I like the Explore searches the best.

There are different uses for each of the dashboards, so think of them as finding the right tool for the job. Depending on the report I need to present, I can use the EMM or Custom dashboards. There are still some at my office who prefer the classic dashboards and considering how long we have used Meltwater, those do offer a good apples to apples comparison for those who are use to seeing the data a certain way.

I use the newsletters each day to help quickly discover what is making news on a variety of key topics we watch.

The alerts are also a valuable tool in a crisis to gauge coverage by news media and reactions on social media.

Go through the Academy foundations courses. Those are key to learning the system, then it’s all about practice. As you become more familiar, go back and take the higher level Academy courses to refine your skills. There’s also always updates so keep your eye out for the release courses and the ever-boarding that is offered. Good luck and don’t be afraid to use the chat feature. The experts at Meltwater have helped me a lot when I’ve been under pressure in a moment and a new search is not working exactly as I hoped. 

 


I absolutely adore the Meltwater Community and support from the team. We have found that meltwater is like an onion with layers of advanced reporting and capabilities. I recommend taking a look at some of the academy courses to see if there are some exciting features you may not know about yet :)

Hi @maggim  - I have to say beyond all the really cool featueres that Will mentioned, my favorite part of Meltwater is the training. There are so many webinars, training courses, etc available to take you from being a beginner to an expert. For social listening tools, their training is hands down my favorite. I hope that helps. 😁


Hi Maggi! I’ve been using Meltwater for a few years, but just recently started diving into the mCommunity and the Academy courses. The courses and training have been SO helpful - some have introduced me to new tools and some are good refreshes. 

Also, it’s so refreshing how responsive their team is. I sent a private message to one of the employees, and they got back to me within minutes! SO helpful.

 

 


I’ve been using Meltwater for five years now, and the best part has to be the daily report emails we set up. We set up our searches, and then we have a report that comes through email every morning with a list of all our search mentions. This means that it’s already in my inbox when I log in for the day and it’s the first thing I look at. It saves so much time and effort, and then I can click on the links if I want to read any of the full articles without actually having to do any of the searching myself! We also have spike alerts set up, which has been very useful for the couple of times they’ve come through. It’s nice to be able to trust that everything I need is going to come through directly to me and I don’t need to go out there and do any searching myself!


 

Also, it’s so refreshing how responsive their team is. I sent a private message to one of the employees, and they got back to me within minutes! SO helpful.

Hi Maggi! Welcome! There are so many parts of using Meltwater that I enjoy. I appreciate how easy it is to navigate the mAcademy when learning about the product. The support in the tools chat feature for customer support is fantastic; they respond quickly to any inquiries I have. Additionally, I love that they've built out this community for us to collaborate in. And can we talk about how fun the March Madness giveaway is? There are so many great things here!

I love all the features in Engage: scheduling posts, tagging comments in conversations, etc. I agree the customer service is great. And I’ve found great value in mCommunity, classes and more.
