Software & Technology Roundtable: Who Owns the Narrative- Product, Marketing, or Comms?

About this event

In this month’s Software & Technology Roundtable, we’re tackling a question many teams are debating behind the scenes: who really owns the company narrative—and what happens when ownership isn’t clear?

As product updates move faster, launches become more frequent, and AI-driven features evolve in real time, software and technology organizations are under pressure to communicate clearly, consistently, and credibly. When product, marketing, and communications teams operate in silos, messaging can become fragmented, delayed, or confusing—internally and externally. This discussion will explore how teams are defining narrative ownership, aligning across functions, and ensuring messaging keeps pace with rapid innovation without sacrificing clarity or trust.

This session is not a webinar. It’s an open, peer-led conversation created for software and technology communications, product marketing, PR, and digital professionals who want a candid space to share experiences, compare approaches, and learn from peers across the tech landscape.

We’ll Discuss:

  • Who typically leads narrative development—and who should?

  • Where do handoffs between product, marketing, and comms break down most often?

  • How do you maintain consistency when products evolve faster than messaging?

  • What frameworks or workflows help teams align before launch moments?

  • How can monitoring and insights help validate or refine the narrative externally?

This roundtable is part of Meltwater’s Industry Circles program—client-only spaces inside mCommunity where professionals in similar sectors connect, collaborate, and learn how others are using Meltwater to solve real-world challenges in their day-to-day roles.

This session has limited availability, and registration will close once all 35 seats have been filled.
