What is automatically retained when I upgrade a Classic Newsletter?

  • Branding: Logos, colors, and banner images
  • Configuration: Sections and search inputs.
  • Saved settings: Subject lines, Newsletter names, and recipient lists.

What is not automatically retained when I upgrade a Classic Newsletter?

  • Some users had a very advanced custom Newsletter setup. Contact your Sales rep to find out if your Classic template is not compatible with the new templates.
    • If you’re not in regular contact with your Sales representative, ask Mira Companion.AD_4nXclzVZTZsIMotBoxzwH9I18wZQX11W9n_spL9vsBEGpcS7gcS86-TOaYEyQH5EBUzhyp_RWnzY1MR8bLf19JyR2LNfFhYmq7EjUYaEHdxvLaBExdZK3jWWI15Op_b6xWcScYPIayQ?key=M486PsoL1sUYCfqAaugltw
  • Exact design details beyond branding, settings, and options will need to be assigned by the user.

What happens if I do nothing?

  • All existing Classic Newsletters will be automatically switched to the new templates in the coming months. To continue delivery of automated Newsletters without creating duplicates, we recommend pausing the Classic Newsletter, then migrating the template switching early. and reviewing any new templates.
    • When migrated, a copy is available in the new template. After you review the settings and approve, click resume to continue sending.
  • If you have a manual Newsletter, the template will no longer be available for sending, but you can reference it.
  • This may impact your regular communications, so we encourage early action for consistent delivery.

Any limitations I should know about?

  • Migrated templates won’t be identical to the Classic versions, and not all visual elements & layouts will successfully appear in the new template.
  • Two-column layouts:
    • Only horizontal content display is supported. Vertical or two-column layouts are not yet, but may become available in the future.
  • Right-to-left-Arabic:
    • Text with right-to-left orientation is not supported in new Newsletters. If your Classic newsletter included right-to-left text, you can continue using Classic newsletters without disruption.
  • Large thumbnail image:
    • Article thumbnail images larger than standard article thumbnails are not possible. (This is unrelated to the banner image).

This seems complicated, why do we need to migrate?

  • We understand. Unfortunately, Classic Newsletters are built on code that won’t be supported in the coming months. Our goal is to ensure you get the benefits of using the new templates without disrupting your Newsletter sends:
    • Full control to make visual edits without waiting on Support
    • Mobile-first layouts that look great on any device
    • Smarter curation tools, including auto-draft and AI writing tools
    • Future-proof design: New features will only be added to this new feature
