With Dow Jones returning to Meltwater, now’s the perfect time to check if your searches are pulling in coverage from your favorite site. Whether you're tracking sentiment or looking to validate media reach, top-tier business press can make a huge impact.

Let’s make sure you’re seeing it.

Step 1: Open Explore and Run Your Search

Go to Explore from the left-hand navigation bar. Select any saved search (or create a new one).

Step 2: Filter by Source Type

Click Source type > Select News > Click the Arrow to narrow your results

✅ Step 3: Search for Specific Publications & Create a Custom List

This opens a News pop-up, where you can look up which publications to focus your broader Search on. 

Just type the publication name (Reuters, Architectural Digest, Miami Herald, e.g.) into the search bar, then check the box next to the result to add it to your selection.

Click Apply to zero in on those specific outlets in the broader search

💡Pro Tip: You can save this group of sources as a list to reuse anytime in future searches helpful for Analyze reports, narrowing Alerts, or proving coverage quality fast. Just press Filter set > Save

Rookie Tip: Paste a URL to Zero In on a Specific Site

Still not seeing WSJ or another outlet in your results? In Advanced Search, you can paste the publication’s URL using this Boolean format:

site:wsj.com AND "Your Keyword"

This tells Meltwater to show only results from that specific site — perfect for narrowing in on major outlets like WSJ, Bloomberg, or Forbes.
