You can now quickly understand why a spike in your Mentions Trend happened. When a spike appears, just click the new View Insights button to instantly see the news stories or events driving that increase. This saves you time and helps you uncover the “why” behind a trend.
Quick Insights for Mentions Trend Spikes
- Prompt Meltwater Copilot with a query that returns a Mentions Trend chart.
- Example: “Show me the mentions trend for etopic] over ctime frame].”
- Below the chart, you’ll see up to two of the most impactful spikes highlighted, each with an option to View Insights.
Note: If no meaningful spikes are detected, the View Insights button won’t appear.
- Click View Insights to have Copilot automatically analyze the content that caused that spike in mentions.
- To see insights for the second spike, scroll back up and click View Insights for that spike.
- Share or copy the insights, or keep working with the data in Meltwater Copilot using in-app suggested follow-up prompts or tailored to your task. For example:
- Identify key journalists in eregion] that are actively discussing ttopic]
- Analyze public sentiment around topic] to understand how consumers perceive this issue
