Maintaining mChampion Status
#FriendWithInsights are awarded mChampion status for a one year term upon meeting the criteria outlined. mChampions are expected to remain engaged and actively contributing to mCommunity during their term.
Extending Status
mChampions can extend their status for another year by maintaining 100 points monthly during the term.
Alternate Criteria
If an mChampion is unable to maintain 100 points monthly (ie. 5 post or replies a month) there are other ways they can qualify to extend their term. mChampions can extend their status by completing one of the following:
- Be a Summit speaker or an #ExpertWithInsights.
- Complete 5 new mAcademy Courses during their term.
- Write 3 best practice or product tips and tricks for the Product Rookie board or industry best practices under the PR, Communications or Marketing Discussion board.
- Finish in the top 10 of monthly points earners at least 3 times during their term.

What is an mChampion? An mChampion is a top contributor to mCommunity, recognized for their knowledge, engagement, and high-impact contributions within the community.

How can I become an mChampion? You will need to be registered with mCommunity. If you haven’t joined mCommunity yet - all you have to do is log in with your Meltwater Product Credentials. There is no charge and is included in your subscription. Then to become an mChampion:

Complete at least one Advanced Certification in mAcademy and

Accumulate points by being engaged in Community, ask questions, reply to posts, etc. To reach mChampion status you’ll need to maintain 125+ points for six months.

What do points signify? Points reflect the value and contribution a member adds to the community by engaging in conversations, asking questions, and providing answers.

How can I track my points? Points can be viewed on the Leaderboard or use the Monthly Tracker accessible from the Community Home page and can also be checked within any custom time frame.

What are the badges and how can I earn them? Badges recognize specific achievements and are visible on profile pages and cards. They can be earned through certifications from mAcademy, speaking at events, leading a community group, and other accomplishments.

Are there other ways to earn points? Yes, additional points can be earned through contributions like completing mAcademy Courses, speaking at events, beta testing, participating in community challenges, and other activities which are announced in the Updates blog.

I’ve completed an mAcademy Course but the badge isn’t showing in mCommunity, what should I do? If you've completed Meltwater courses in the past and wish to reflect these on your mCommunity profile, please complete this form to update your credentials.
