Changes bring questions, we’ve compiled this list to help answer a few of these questions.
It will be helpful to define our previous and new broadcast partner:

Is TVEyes content still available?
TVEyes content is still available in reports but not accessible. This means, you can see the metrics associated with the historical broadcast results but you can’t click to access the video.
Radio and Broadcast Data
- What are the high level differences between TVEyes and Kinetiq?
-
While it’s not an apples-to-apples comparison between TVEyes and Kinetiq due to their differing approaches and capabilities, we’re confident this transition marks a significant step forward for our customers. With Kinetiq, you’ll benefit from:
-
Extended Content Access: Broadcast content will now be available for up to 12 months, compared to the previous 30-day window, giving you more flexibility and a longer-term view of your media coverage.
-
Modern Platform: Kinetiq offers a more intuitive, modern platform that streamlines workflows and enhances usability.
-
Broader Coverage: Their ongoing commitment to expanding coverage across additional countries and sources means more reliable and comprehensive monitoring for our global customers. Kinetiq is also adding new sources daily, further strengthening its offering and coverage capabilities.
-
Enhanced Capabilities: Improvements in areas such as radio monitoring and speech-to-text (STT) functionality, particularly across EMEA, are areas we’re especially excited to bring to your toolkit.
-
-
We understand that transitions can come with some adjustments, and while there may be differences in coverage during this period, our teams are working closely with Kinetiq to address any gaps and provide a seamless experience.

Broadcast Metrics
- How is viewership/media value calculated?
- Viewership data is provided to Kinetiq via Nielsen. National audience ratings are received every week with data from the previous two weeks. The Local audience ratings are received at the end of each month for the previous month. For both, estimates will be used in the interim.
- The estimate values are what we display in Meltwater as the “Reach”. The “Reach” in Meltwater will reflect the local viewership value. If no local viewership is available, then the national viewership value will be used. The “Reach” in Meltwater will not update after the fact as the more accurate Nielsen ratings come through, so clients can check the Kinetiq media player for updated figures.
- AVE/Media Value is provided to Kinetiq via SQAD, a media cost forecasting and data analytics company that provides media values based on actual paid media buys.
