Access the right searches, switch between brands or teams, and customize your mobile experience.
Meltwater Mobile automatically recognizes your active Workspace, helping you access the information relevant to your responsibilities.
If your organization manages multiple brands, teams, or regions, you can switch between your available Workspaces directly from the app.
This guide explains how Workspaces affect your mobile experience, how to switch between them, and how to manage your preferences.
Understand How Workspaces Work
A Workspace is a dedicated area within Meltwater that helps organizations manage access to media intelligence by brand, team, or region.
Meltwater Mobile follows the same Workspace governance model as the Meltwater web platform.
When you sign in, the app automatically recognizes your active Workspace and uses it to determine which data is available.
How does your Workspace affect your mobile experience?
Your active Workspace provides the data context for Workspace-aware features.
| Feature | How Workspace Awareness Applies |
| What's New | Displays information associated with searches in your active Workspace. |
| Inbox | Uses your active Workspace to scope available coverage. |
| Mira | Uses the appropriate Workspace context when accessing data and generating responses. |
This helps ensure you're working with information relevant to your brand, team, or region.
Does Meltwater Mobile respect Workspace access restrictions?
Yes. Meltwater Mobile respects the Workspace governance rules established in the Meltwater web platform.
Your organization's Workspace settings determine which data you can access.
Switch Between Workspaces
You can switch Workspaces directly in Meltwater Mobile without returning to the web platform.
How to change your Workspace
- Open Meltwater Mobile.
- Select Settings at the bottom of your screen.
- Scroll to the Other section.
- Select Workspaces.
- Choose the Workspace you want to access.
The app uses your selected Workspace to determine which information is available in Workspace-aware features.
Example: Monitoring multiple brands
You manage communications for three brands, each with its own Workspace.
You need to review coverage for Brand A before a meeting, then check the latest developments for Brand B.
- Go to Settings → Other → Workspaces.
- Select Brand A.
- Open What's New to review the latest updates.
- Use Mira to summarize important developments.
- Return to Settings and select Brand B.
- Continue monitoring using Brand B's Workspace context.
You can move between brands without signing out or switching Workspaces on the web platform.
Understand How Searches Appear in Mobile
Meltwater Mobile automatically syncs saved searches from the Meltwater web platform.
You don't need to recreate your Explore searches in the mobile app.
When you sign in:
| What happens | Details |
| Your Workspace is recognized | The app identifies your active Workspace. |
| Available searches are determined | The app uses your Workspace context and applicable permissions to determine which searches are available. |
| You choose your monitoring priorities | Use Pin Searches to select which searches appear in What's New. |
| You review coverage | Use What's New to review updates or Monitor to investigate coverage. |
Available searches vs. pinned searches
These are two different things.
| Term | What it means |
| Available Searches | The saved searches you can access within your active Workspace, subject to applicable permissions. |
| Pinned Searches | The searches you've chosen to display in your What's New feed. |
Example:
Your Marketing Workspace contains searches for your company, competitors, active campaigns, and industry trends.
You may only want to monitor your company, one competitor, and an active campaign in What's New.
You can pin those searches without needing to recreate them.
Good to know: Saved searches are created and managed in the Meltwater web application.
