JOB DESCRIPTION:
Communications Manager Europe North - Maternity Cover (15 months duration)
Location: Birmingham UK (Commutable distance)
Markets in Europe North: Nordics, UK&I, BeNe
Responsibilities:
The position is accountable for deploying communications projects delivered by the EMEA Regional Communications Team. Serve as the main interface for communication in Europe North by addressing internal and external audiences (business, functions, operations).
As such the role is overall accountable for the integrated communications planning and implementation in Europe North, based on the EMEA Communications strategy and deliverables. The role is accountable for driving and executing communications priorities to support strong brands and corporate reputation in the Hub.
Act as a communication advisor for Europe North.
Lead company Public Relations, Media Relations and Influencer Relations activities for Consumer BU, Corporate and selected Commercial BU activations in Europe North. Proactively manage the positioning and perception of the company, people, products and brands for Europe North.
Manager Communications serves as a shared professional resource in each geographical hub responsible for:
- PR Support for all PBUs.
- Equipping sales and plant leaders in the hub with tools and training.
- Corporate communications support as spokesperson/reputation management.
- Manage and drive communications projects in close alignment with EMEA Regional Communications Team.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in corporate, internal and brand communications, ideally in an ‘in-house’ leadership role within a complex matrix organization.
- A demonstrated record of experience in a role covering media relations and strategic communications in addition to prior experience in a senior corporate communication role.
- Good experience in communications crisis management.
- Experience of running communications campaigns.
- Previous experience in managing Government Affairs is a plus.
