From time to time you may notice an article is missing from your results. This could be due to one of the following reasons:
-
Keywords - Articles that haven't filtered into a search folder due to keywords could be a result of too restrictive boolean, possible mis-spelling or a missing keyword. Boolean searches are particularly prone to this as they typically have many criteria that require matching.
-
Date range - The date range can be adjusted so ensure the date range includes the date of the article you are looking for.
-
Source Type - The source type chosen for the search determines what publications you’re searching against.
In order to locate a missing article follow the steps below:
-
Go to the Explore page
-
Select 'Create' under Keyword Search
-
Copy/paste the title of the article in the search bar, press enter
-
If it's an older article don't forget to adjust the date range + ensure the source is included in 'Source type' – click "update search results"
If the article is still missing - check out additional options outlined in the article, How to Locate a Missing Article.
