- is there another way to monitor Facebook comments for a specific post?
TIA

Hey @Al_S - thanks for reaching out about this. I’ve tagged in our Support team to see if they have any information about this or suggestions for you!
Hey there @Al_S!
Facebook created Pseudonymized Facebook Identifiers (PFBIDs) for their URLs which combine timestamps and FBIDs to generate a unique time-rotating identifier for posts. However, if you click on the time stamp of the post, you will find the simplified version of the URL containing the post ID:
You can then proceed with the steps from the Help Center to find the Facebook Page ID and format the URL to use in the metaData.inReplyTo.url: operator.
Please let us know if there are any further questions!
@Beth.Kazlauskas I did do that whilst trying to solve this prior to posting here and it didn’t work for us:
Bit of going round the houses but got there in the end.

Hi @Al_S, Interesting - thanks for sharing that workaround! I agree it is a bit manual though.
Another option would be to export your monitored Facebook content from the Content Stream to CSV file. The export will contain the simplified (non PFID-formatted) links in the URLs column.
I’m going to raise with our Product Support Engineers to see if they have any other suggestions on navigating to the simplified (non PFID-formatted) URLs directly on Facebook. I will update here with what we find. Thank you!
@Beth.Kazlauskas Did you receive any feedback from the Product Support Engineers as we’re still struggling to take advantage of metaData.inReplyTo.url: search terms
Hi @Al_S Thanks for following up!
I’m going to create a support ticket and follow up with you there. I would like to better understand the specific Facebook posts you are searching for, and cross-reference with the Facebook pages you are monitoring on your account. Facebook data is private to specific Meltwater accounts, so there are a lot of variables here that would be best worked out on a ticket.
I will update this thread with any key takeaways after we work out your examples
Thank you!
@Beth.Kazlauskas Thanks
