In our July 31st Creating A Brand Ambassador Program In Klear session, we walked through the core tools and workflows needed to launch and manage successful Brand Ambassador program using Klear.  The session focused on helping teams streamline creator recruitment, simplify application management, and automate repetitive tasks so they can spend more time building meaningful relationships with ambassadors.

We demonstrated the complete workflow, from creating customized application forms and branded landing pages to reviewing applicants, automating approvals, and managing ambassador information in one place. The session also highlighted how Klear helps teams create an evergreen pipeline of creators who are already interested in working with their brand, making future campaigns more efficient and easier to manage.

We covered:

  • How to build custom brand ambassador application forms and hosted landing pages using Klear Recruit
  • How to customize forms with branded templates, required fields, and content blocks to create a seamless applicant experience
  • How to review, vet, approve, or decline applicants using Klear's automated workflows and audience insights
  • How to automate email notifications and applicant management to reduce manual work
  • How to share ambassador applications through hosted links or embedded forms on your website
  • How to manage ambassador data, export applicant information, and preview forms across desktop and mobile devices

@Zach_Lepard - thanks so much for sharing this recording. Very informative and you always make things easy to understand and follow! A few follow-up questions: it appears that Klear is primarily used for external social media ambassadors; is that correct? Can it, or any examples of, orgs using Klear for their internal employees being the social media ambassadors? Where it is a similar goal to have social media ambassadors, but you’re vetting and recruiting them from your internal employee pool instead of external audiences and could use Klear for all the management and back and front end aspects for like an Employee Social Media Ambassador Program? Also, I didn’t immediately see that LinkedIn was an option for people to select either on the front end or back end. Is LinkedIn a channel that is available to utilize Klear for as well? Would Klear be a good tool to use for something like this idea? Or any other current Meltwater tool to do something similar?  Thanks for any insights or info!

    Hi @Maria Dehne

Great questions and a super interesting use case!! I’ll walk through a bit more info here for you:

    • Klear is primarily used for external creators/ influencers. The key foundation for any profile in Klear is always a social handle of some sort, that could be Instagram, Tik Tok, Youtube, etc. We don’t have the ability to create a standalone account in Klear without anchoring it to a social platform.
    • If you were interested in creating an employee advocacy program using Klear, it is possible BUT all of your employees would have to have to a social account that they would be willing to connect to Klear. If, for example, you had an existing list of employees you wanted to manage through Klear you would just have to have them ensure that they have a compatible social account that Klear could grab onto and make an account with. One important thing to note is that an Instagram profile does have to be a business or creator account in order to be picked up by Klear. That just comes down to Meta’s data and privacy policies!
    • No LinkedIn available in Klear at this time, they have a very locked down API (or a very rudimentary API at the least) so we’re not able to pull any profile data from LI right now :/

So overall, if you were able to get your internal ambassadors to make sure that their social accounts were set up correctly and in Klear, you could run a program through Klear! It just may just be a bit outside of the normal use case we see.

I’ll poke around and find other examples of Meltwater folks running Employee Advocacy programs and send any examples I can find your way!

@Zach_Lepard , thanks so much for this detailed response, very helpful. I would appreciate any examples you might happen to find, if any. LinkedIn would be the only/primary channel for this idea, so that is good to know it is not an option and sounds like Klear might not be the best path forward for this particular thought. But good to know that the idea could generally be possible with other channels and with some workarounds. Thanks again!
