Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports, but the real trend isn’t just participation, it’s where and how people are engaging with it.
My analysis shows that pickleball-related travel conversations are up, with resorts, amenities, and destination experiences becoming central to the conversation. At the same time, Millennials are driving the largest growth in online discussion, signaling a shift in audience and behavior.
The key takeaway: pickleball is evolving from a recreational activity into a lifestyle and travel driver, creating new opportunities for the hospitality industry.

The appeal of pickleball hasn’t reached me yet, but I know it’s all the rage all over, and maybe some day soon I’m sure I will be wishing I started playing sooner! I really like your report layout and the visuals, thanks so much for sharing it and great job!

@juliasullivan good angle here! Seeing pickleball shift from just a sport to actually driving travel decisions (also very real in my friend group 😆).

What stood out to me is how it’s showing up as both a social + experience driver—not just something to do, but something people are planning trips around. Have you seen any specific destinations or resort types coming up more than others?

Feels like a big opportunity for hospitality teams to lean into this as more than just an amenity. Also curious if you’re seeing any overlap with what @ZeeshKhan called out around “emotional return” in the post here—pickleball feels like one of those things that really brings different generations together and makes family time more engaging.
