Meet Taylor Ingles

Hi! I am Taylor Ingles and I am the mCommunity Nonprofit Circle’s #ExpertWithInsights for the month of November.

Volunteers of America, Habitat for Humanity, and the Boys and Girls Club. As I was finishing up my degree, I interned for Arts for Learning Indiana, a nonprofit organization that brings art, music, and creativity to schools in Indiana. From then on, I was hooked. I wanted to support the nonprofit sector however I could.

I saw how organizations with strong missions and commitments to the good of humanity were struggling to function due to their lack of funding, volunteers, and overall operational support, and I quickly realized that I wanted to become a liaison between the nonprofit sector and the for-profit sector to bring that necessary support. Since then, I have served on boards, been a regular volunteer, and become a consistent donor to many nonprofit organizations.

About American College of Education

Currently, I am the Marketing Engagement and Outreach manager at the American College of Education. American College of Education (ACE) is an accredited, fully online college specializing in high-quality, affordable programs in education, business, leadership, healthcare and nursing. In addition to being a leader in online education, ACE is a Certified B Corporation. Certified B Corporations are leaders of a global movement to use the power of business to solve social and environmental problems.

I am now in a truly unique position where I get to work for an institution that loves giving back to the community and doing good with our dollars. We support organizations such as Teachers’ Treasures, Crayons to Computers, A Gift for Teaching, Treasures 4 Teachers, the American Heart Association, Indiana Center for Nurse Education, and so many more with our generous donation matching policies.

My #Experts Focus

Over my years in the nonprofit sector, I have gained a deep love and appreciation for true partnerships between organizations with like-minded mission and values, and this month I’m looking forward to sharing the benefits of these partnerships - as well as how to form lasting and beneficial partnerships within and without your sector, and how you can use those partnerships to inform your content strategy.

Here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect each Monday in November:

More About Me

I hope to take what I have learned over the last decade and put it toward my own nonprofit one day. I am very passionate about family education and health, and ensuring that all families have access to resources, particularly families in marginalized or lower socio-economic areas who may have little to no educational resources about health and wellness.

When I am not working or serving, I am spending time with my lovely family. My husband is a firefighter/EMT, which definitely has contributed to my passion for health education. I also have three kids ages 10, 8, and 7, who keep me very busy!

When I have a spare moment, I also love to do needlework, bake and read! So please, comment below some book and recipe suggestions for me to try!
