Meltwater Mobile App

Meltwater offers two separate mobile apps: Meltwater Mobile, and Meltwater Engage.

Downloading the Meltwater Mobile App

To download the Meltwater Mobile App, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to your device’s App Store
2. Search Meltwater Mobile
3. Click Get or Download

Setting Up the What’s New Tab

If you’ve just downloaded the Meltwater Mobile App, follow these steps for initial set-up:

1. After downloading the app, login and click Let’s Get Started

2. To add searches to include in your feed
   1. Select Add Searches
   2. Toggle on the searches you want to include
   3. Select Apply

      

       

Note: To remove a selected search click the red - icon

2. Click Next

4. Drag and drop to organize the selected searches in your feed

5. Click Next
6. Allow notifications as needed
7. Click Done

Meltwater Mobile App for iPhone

The Meltwater Mobile mobile app puts the power of Meltwater in your hands. Designed for Media Monitoring and Social Listening, view the latest updates on your saved searches, create an ad hoc search in Explore, view your analytics with dashboards, and read through your results via Inbox.

What's New

In What’s New, each search card gives you two quick signals: the number of new updates and how coverage has changed. Color coding helps you spot notable increases or decreases.

Note: Searches must be added for articles to populate in the What’s New tab. Learn more about set-up above.

To navigate the What’s New tab, follow these steps:

1. Click the Filters drop-dowm to sort searches by Number of Updates, Volume %, or Search Name.
   1. Number of Updates: Shows the number of new pieces of coverage captured during the latest What’s New update.
   2. Volume %: Compares coverage from the last 24 hours with the previous 24-hour period.
2. Sort each option from High -> Low or Low --> High
3. Click Apply

   

    

4. Use the controls in the top-right corner to switch between Grid and List views.

5. Select the Pin icon to open Pinned Searches. Click the searches you want to pin or unpin from the What’s New tab

   

    

6. Click Done to save your selections.

Note: You can also swipe to remove a pinned search from the What’s New tab.

Mira

1. Open your Meltwater Mobile app
2. Ensure you are on the Mira tab at the bottom of your screen
3. Select one of the prompts from the prompt library, or type in your custom prompt
4. Add more context or answer questions from Mira as needed
5. To use a saved search
   1. Select +Saved Searches

      

   2. Select one or more saved searches to focus Mira's responses using the checkbox(es)
   3. Click Apply

      

   4. Enter your prompt in the textbox
   5. Click the arrow
   6. Mira uses the selected saved searches as context for its response.
6. To view chat history
   1. Select Chat History in the top right-hand corner

      

   2. Select a previous conversation

      

       

In-App Article View (Web-view)

To read the full article click on a card and the article will load in the app. You may share, tag the article, or change the sentiment from the web-view.

1. Open the Meltwater Mobile app
2. Click into an article from the What’s New, Mira, or Monitor tab
3. To share the article from the in-app web-view
   1. Click Share

      

       

   2. Select a sharing method
4. To tag an article
   1. Click Add Tag

      

       

   2. Select an existing tag or tags
   3. Click Done

5. To adjust the sentiment of an article
   1. Click the kebab menu

      

       

   2. Click Change Sentiment

      

       

   3. Select a new sentiment

      

       

Monitor

The Monitor tab shows all of your saved searches and tags in one place, allowing you to explore your media coverage in more detail. You can browse and read articles, making it easy to review trends, track ongoing stories, and catch anything you may have missed.

1. Open the Meltwater Mobile app
2. Click Monitor at the bottom of your screen
3. Select a search
4. Adjust the date range by selecting Last 14 Days and selecting a new date range

   

5. Select the Filters drop-down to browse All, Favorites, Searches, or Tags. 
6. Click Apply

7. Use the controls in the top-right corner to switch between Grid and List views.

Settings

Turn notifications on and off for What's New Summaries, Inbox Searches, and Events. You can also access the Live Chat or Log Out in Settings.

1. Open the Meltwater Mobile app
2. Click Settings at the bottom of your screen
3. Click into What’s New Summary, Monitor Searches, or Events to toggle on or off notifications
4. To access the Live Chat
   1. Navigate to Support
   2. Click Live Chat
   3. Click Send us a message
   4. Click I need assistance
   5. Type your message 
   6. Click Enter
5. To Log Out
   1. Scroll to the bottom of your screen
   2. Click Log Out
