Another Meltwater Summit means another exciting product keynote, where we share what’s new and what’s next across the platform. But you don’t have to be in NYC to get the updates. I’ll run down the key highlights right here.

As always, we’ll share the full keynote video in mCommunity as soon as it’s ready. Subscribe to this category to get notified. And if you’re ready to jump in now, you can access resources to start using the latest features right away.

What you should know about where Meltwater (and you) are headed

Meltwater Summit and the Mid-Year Release mark a moment where we step back and share our broader vision across social listening, media monitoring, and influencer and creator relations.

Here’s what we’re seeing, and how it impacts PR and marketing teams like yours. It boils down to this:

  • Monitoring social and news conversations to benchmark performance or identify issues is still important. But it’s inherently backward-looking and limited in value.
  • Today’s news, conversations, and AI-generated responses are fast-moving, complex, and deeply interconnected. But within that complexity are powerful signals that can inform how you move your brand forward. From new messaging angles and cultural trends to campaign ideas that set you apart from competitors.
  • And now, technology—namely AI—has reached a point where it can do more than surface those signals. It can turn them into meaningful intelligence: clear recommendations on what to do next, and even take action on your behalf (creating executive reports, campaign briefs, activation ideas, and more).

What this means for you (what we’re building now and into the future)

In practical terms, this shift shows up in three ways. Each is designed to help you move faster and have more impact in your day-to-day work:

1. A new way to monitor your brand

You’re no longer just tracking mentions. You’re understanding how your brand is represented across all modern channels, including AI.

  • Use GenAI Lens to see how LLMs like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude represent your brand
  • Benchmark your visibility, sentiment, and positioning against competitors
  • Act on AI-generated weekly recommendations to improve how your brand shows up

2. A new way to discover what matters

Instead of relying only on predefined searches, you can now see trends as they emerge (before they peak).

  • Use Trends Center to surface emerging conversations across TikTok, X, Instagram, and News
  • Understand why something is trending with built-in AI Insights
  • Move seamlessly into Explore to analyze trends and see expanded insights

3. A new way to get work done

AI isn’t just helping you analyze. It’s starting to do the work for you.

  • Use Mira AI (your Digital Teammate) in Mira Studio (agents) to generate coverage reports, briefings, and analysis in minutes
  • Instantly create branded PowerPoint decks and shareable dashboards from a single prompt
  • Bring Meltwater intelligence into your workflow with Mira in Slack (currently in beta, ask your Meltwater rep to participate), Meltwater Mobile, and integrations like Copilot/Teams
  • Extend it further with the Mira API and Meltwater MCP for custom AI workflows

Now, let’s take a closer look at what this means across the platform, with a quick snapshot of what’s new in each product area.
