Meltwater Mira Studio
What is Mira Studio?
Mira Studio is Meltwater's AI-powered research and analysis workspace, where you can query media data, generate insights, and share findings — all using natural language. Instead of building searches manually, you describe what you want to know and Mira Studio scans Meltwater's database, news sources, and internal AI-powered indexing to surface the most relevant information.
What you can do in Mira Studio:
- Run AI-powered queries using plain-language prompts or the curated Prompt Library
- Generate structured responses with key takeaways, sentiment analysis, and relevant data points
- Connect queries to your existing Explore saved searches using the # shortcut
- Annotate, edit, and share results via link, PDF, email, or newsletter
- Create alerts directly from Mira Studio results
- Organize recurring work into Projects with custom instructions
How to access: Select Mira Studio from the left-hand navigation bar.
Beta note: Mira Studio is currently in Beta and can make mistakes. Always validate your findings and review content before presenting it as your own work.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Mira Studio and Mira Companion? Mira Companion is the conversational AI assistant available throughout the Meltwater platform for quick questions and guidance. Mira Studio is a dedicated workspace for deeper AI-powered research — with a Prompt Library, Project management, Canvas View, and the ability to share, export, and annotate results.
What are the three ways to interact with Mira Studio? You can interact with Mira Studio in three ways: (1) the Prompt Library — a curated set of pre-written prompts organized by use case, recommended for most users; (2) Core Prompts — featured shortcuts on the home screen for common tasks like media briefs or competitive intelligence; and (3) typing a custom prompt directly into the Ask me a question… box.
What categories are in the Prompt Library? The Prompt Library contains nine categories: Brand Monitoring, Competitive Intelligence, Industry Trends, Crisis Management, Stakeholder Briefing, Media Relations, Analysis/Reporting, Social Influencers, and Social Intelligence. The Brand Monitoring section is expanded by default.
How do I connect a prompt to my Explore saved searches? Type # in the prompt box to open a list of your existing saved searches. Select the search you want to reference, then complete and submit your prompt as usual. The response will be relevant to that Explore or Explore+ search.
How long is prompt history saved? Mira Studio saves prompt history for 30 days. You can access past threads via View History in the top-right corner of Mira Studio. If a Project was applied to a session, it appears alongside the thread name in history.
What does a Mira Studio response include? Every Mira Studio response includes key takeaways, sentiment analysis, and relevant data points. Responses also include verified source links so you can open the full articles and validate insights. Some responses include bolded terms you can click to drill deeper into a topic, and all responses end with Suggested Follow-Ups.
What is Canvas View and when should I use it? Canvas View opens your Mira Studio response in a slide-out panel where you can annotate and edit content, add citations to a Newsletter, share via link or email, download as PDF, or create an alert. Use Canvas View when you want to refine and distribute a response rather than just read it.
Can I share Mira Studio results with someone who does not have a Meltwater account? Yes. From Canvas View, click Share to generate a shareable link (password-optional), download a PDF, or send results by email to up to 10 recipients. Recipients with a link do not need a Meltwater account.
What is a Project and how is it different from a thread? A Project is a reusable workspace with saved instructions and context that applies to multiple prompt sessions. A thread is a single prompt session and its response. Projects persist until deleted; threads are available in history for 30 days.
Can I set a default Project for my company? Yes, if you have Admin access. In the Project table, open the kebab menu next to a Project and select Set as company default. This automatically loads the Project for all users each time they open Mira Studio. Admins can also change a Project's visibility from Only Me to My Company.
How do I provide feedback on a Mira Studio response? Click the Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down icon at the end of any response. A text box expands for you to add detail. Feedback is routed directly to Meltwater's Product and Engineering team.
