Narrowing down your results to just headlines using the 'title:' boolean operatorBest Practice
As you start your journey with our platform, we understand that one of the first things you'll likely do is search for all the content related to your brand or competitors. Often, you may want to focus on analyzing the data or specifically find articles where your brand or competitor is mentioned in the headline. This is where the "title:" boolean operator becomes incredibly useful. Let's take a look at the total number of news hits (with the news source filter selected) that contain the keywords "Warby Parker" somewhere in the article. As you can see from the screenshot, there were 3.22k articles last month. The first two examples merely mention Warby Parker passively, listing it among other brands that have received funding. Now, let's update the advanced boolean search from simply "Warby Parker" to title:”Warby Parker” and observe the results. As you can see, the total number of results dropped down to just 11% of the original count, with only 364 news articles. Instead of six spi
The quick and easy reportNew Customers
Hello mCommunity! I am Marty Sloane, leading up the North American Implementation and Onboarding team. I am excited to welcome our newest users to Meltwater. My team’s focus is to get our customers up and running on Meltwater as quickly as possible. One question we get asked quite frequently is, “What is the quickest way that I can spin up a report about my brand or competitor across all media?” Allow me to answer how you can create a quick and easy omnichannel report in less than 5 minutes. From your home page, simply input the name of your brand or competitor in the search bar. I’ll use Warby Parker as an example. From your search, select the “Company” below. Now we are brought in Meltwater’s Media Monitoring platform, Explore. Let’s now select the time frame we wish to analyze. I’m going to select the last 30 days by using the date picker in the top right corner. Next, we’ll want to select which tab of Explore we wish to create a report from. The most popular are the Overview o
The Power of Tags in Meltwater EngageBest Practice
As someone who has worked with countless users of social management software like Meltwater Engage, I've noticed that the simple act of tagging social content can unlock significant value and provide valuable insights. We all know that engagement is crucial for expanding the reach of our social content. The more our audience engages with our posts, the more platforms like Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram will showcase our content to a wider audience. To leverage this, you need to know which types of content resonate best with your fans. That’s where tags come in. Let's imagine you publish 20 pieces of content in a given month. Half of those are images and videos showcasing your product, while the other half highlight your product actually being used by people. Now, which content theme do you think is performing better? By tagging your outbound content in Meltwater Engage with either a "product" or "people" tag, you don’t have to guess. Knowing what works best empowers you to m
Your media coverage in your inboxTutorial
Good afternoon mCommunity! As Meltwater’s Implementation and Onboarding team, we often get asked by our customers how to be in the know of all the media coverage relevant to them. In this situation, we recommend you take advantage of our daily digest and our alerts. The daily digest is a nice clean email that you can receive daily, twice daily, or weekly directly into your inbox of all of your media coverage for that day or week. To get started, you’ll need to create and save your first search (or searches) in Meltwater. To get started, navigate to Report > Digest Report I’m going to set up a daily digest to be sent to me twice daily. Once at 10 am and another at 4 pm. The title will be the subject line of the email. Then you select your inputs, which are your saved searches. Next, let’s pick the sort of articles. I like to sort by reach so the biggest news outlets or Twitter influencers will be at the top of the email. Under Delivery Options is where we select which users shoul

Updating a Press Release Template
Is there a way to update a current press release template, or do you just have to create a new one when there is a required change to an old template? Also, if a new template has to be created, is there a way to remove the old one so it is not accidently used in the future?
Sharing Award Announcement with House Media List?
Hi, i’m new to Meltwater and Kelly Bebenek encouraged me to post my Q here. Here it goes. The prestige of different awards are not all the same. e.g., I dare say Gartner’s Cool Vendor or Forrester Wave mentions are more prestigious than many other industry awards/acknowledgements.With that said, recently, we’ve won some product awards. For one of them, we chose to write a press release and put it over the wire. Afterwards, I’m wondering if I should email a copy to my house media list i.e., the list of journalist, etc. we’ve interacted with in the past who might not pick up our wired release.Thx - Nancy
1:1 Product Tour
Our agency has been using the Meltwater, and I am new to the product and media relations. Would I be able to set up a 1:1, step-by-step tour of the product? I’d love to be able to learn as much as I can to produce a year-end report. Again, I am new -- so I can use the support.Thank you.Sincerely,Carlet
Top language identification
Hello everyone! I am new to Meltwater and just getting my explore boards set up. I have created searches in six different countries. In each country I want to know what the top languages being used are when people are talking about the topic, which is represented using a number of key words. My question is, will Meltwater searches be able to tell me with accuracy what the top languages are in the country related to the topic if I only use English in my inputting of key words? I see top languages appearing under “authors” in explore. Thank you! Robyn
