The role of analyst at Marble Global is to inspire our clients by uncovering and communicating insights gained through the analysis of digital data, including social media, online news and search data. Working in dedicated project teams, over time you can expect to build familiarity with a whole host of exciting clients ranging from major international charities, to global public health organisations, development agencies, and FTSE 100 companies. You will apply your natural curiosity and analytical mindset to a wide variety of research topics including mis- and disinformation, vaccine scepticism, human rights discourse, diversity and inclusion, corruption, extremism, trust in government, migration, climate change, finance and disruptive technology, and many more besides.

The methods we deploy range across a wide spectrum of different disciplines and industries, from traditional media monitoring practices to sophisticated statistical modelling; from campaign performance diagnosis to advanced social network mapping; from human-led discourse analysis to AI-driven machine learning. The common theme across all of our work is an emphasis on providing expert consultancy, demonstrated through our unique ability to translate research findings into rich, meaningful insights that our clients will find compelling.

At Marble Global, we place a strong emphasis on opportunities for career progression, and you will join our team as we forge a new path with our revised company structure launched in January 2022. Analysts work their way up the ladder, and while there will be plenty of opportunity to collaborate with peers and learn from our management and leadership teams, we expect our analysts to be proactive in becoming the champions of their own development. Analysts who make the cut will join our management team as Consultants, and we expect this evolution to take place within two years for gifted recruits.

As an Analyst, you will spend the majority of your time working on media intelligence research projects within our consulting team, analysing communications challenges to provide clients with rich insight based on social media conversations and online news data.

  • You will contribute to the initial setup of analysis accounts, helping the project manager to interpret the client brief and select the right research methodologies for the job.
  • You will develop expertise in digital data exploration software, working on content aggregation tasks to curate high quality datasets that will help address the research objective.
  • You will develop an understanding of how to use industry leading social and traditional media analysis tools, including our own proprietary software designed for in-depth content analysis.
  • You will be responsible for planning and monitoring your time effectively, adhering to project deadlines and supporting the Operations Controller by bringing solutions, not problems, to resourcing challenges.
  • You will work in dedicated project teams with anywhere between two and ten colleagues; demonstrating an ability to be a team-player is essential.
  • You are expected to be proactive in progressing your own development, setting and pursuing training goals that contribute both towards your own CV and wider company benefit.

We're all rather good at keeping a smile on even when it's hectic, and your role will be demanding at times. In return, we will reward you with exposure to some of the world's most exciting organisations from across governments, civil society and the private sector; intellectual stimulation that drives innovative thinking in a team of like-minded researchers and analysts; and an exciting career trajectory in a truly meritocratic company.
